Yep. We’re still alive. We kind of dropped off the (blogging) map the last couple of weeks, but we’re back now! Hope you enjoy today’s Fashion Friday, and have an amazing weekend!
Volcom Lived In Stripe Tee
This shirt. Best purchase ever. It’s super soft and comfy and amazing.
Stuck on You Lace Dress
Isn’t this adorable? I love the unusual swing silhouette.
Astoria Weekend Sandal
These are so cute! I love the block heel.
Valley View Embroidered Dress
So beautiful and delicate.
Lost My Mind Tee
All the makings of a perfect t-shirt.
Give Me Gracefulness Slip
This is technically a slip, but wouldn’t it be a super cute dress?
Contrast of Characters Top
Love the colors and cut of this one.
Cozy Fleece Joggers
Oh my goodness. These look incredible.
Garden Marvels Dress
I love this color!
As I was looking through my fashion board on Pinterest, I noticed some definite themes, and I thought it would be fun to share a couple of the styles I’ve been loving lately.
I bought a green pleated midi skirt at a resale store for last year’s Halloween costume. It turned out that I love wearing the skirt normally, so that purchase was a total win-win. I’m loving how these gals styled their pleated skirts- they look cute and a bit fancy.
Blue & White
Blue and white is just a timeless combination.
Crochet & Lace
Crochet and lace are always a favorite, but they seem especially springy and fun right now.
Black & White
Another timeless combination. Maybe it’s just me, but wearing just black and white seems to make any outfit elegant.
Polka Dots & Stripes
Polka dots and stripes forever. Seriously, what’s better than a great striped shirt or a cute polka dotted skirt? Nothing, in my opinion 🙂
That’s it! Hope you have an amazing weekend!
Whew! Well here we are! I finally managed to post three times this week- yay for consistent blogging! The last couple months have been pretty spotty with the blog- I kept on thinking that things were going to settle down and I would go back to the blog then. And you know what I’ve figured out? Things don’t really settle down- schedules change and routines resume, but no matter what, we’re still busy. Despite that, being back on schedule with the blog feels great. Let’s see if we can keep it up 🙂
Spring Break Camera Strap
Photojojo’s store is a wonderland for photographers- so many tempting camera gadgets and accessories! I’m especially loving this fun camera strap.
Favorite Dress Find- Prairie Road Babydoll Dress
I love this loose silhouette and simple print- so pretty.
Um. Hello beautiful.
Favorite Song- Ulysses by Josh Garrels
My current favorite- Josh Garrels is just downright awesome.
Favorite Read- Jesus Creed: Loving God and Loving Others by Scot McKnight
I found this book via a recommendation, and have loved it so far! I actually didn’t have super high hopes for it at first, but it’s blown me away. The author is direct, concise, interesting, and thought-provoking. What more could you ask for?
Favorite Comfy Tee- Stay Cozy
Kinship Goods has a bunch of cute, quirky t-shirts and thermals that look perfect for cozy, lazy days.
Yummy! This looks like all levels of delicious.
Favorite Home Inspiration
Between the blue paneled walls and the adorable little fireplace, this is an amazing home inspiration photo.
Considering that most of us are in the throes of Christmas shopping right now, the chances that you’re going to want to buy clothes right now seems slim, but in case you’re looking for a last minute gift, here’s your chance to find it! Or, better yet, buy something for yourself, and label it from “Santa”- you’ll fool everyone 😉
All-Time Hike Bootie
I really like the interesting zipper detail on these.
Magic Hour Printed Blouse
This would be perfect during all seasons- great worn on it’s own, and even better under a jacket or blazer.
Need I Say Moor? Jacket
I’m a sucker for a cute military style jacket.
Nestled in for the Night Cowl Scarf
For the most part, I can’t figure out how to wear regular scarves, so cowl scarves (or “scarves for dummies”) are my favorite.
Peppermint Mocha Crochet Blouse
This is so pretty- I can’t get over how gorgeous the color is.
Lace Overlay Maxi Dress
Completely inappropriate for winter garb, but oh so pretty.
Greet Your Day Socks
My favorite alternative to tights.
Edith Embellished Sweater
Something about this sweater makes me absolutely love it.
Just a few fun photos to inspire your outfits this week! Hope you have a great weekend!
Flannel + Leggings- via
The most comfortable combination ever.
Clearly, wearing velvet can go terribly wrong, but done right (see above!) it makes an outfit fun, different and perfect for Christmas time.
Statement Tights + Shorts- via
I’ve been having fun recently mixing up my outfits by wearing summer-y clothes and making them work for slightly cooler weather. Shorts and tights are an easy way to do this- Target has some great options, for an amazing price. Urban Outfitters is always a favorite, especially for thigh high socks- the non-tummy-squishing alternative to tights 😉
Ultra Simple- via
Layered, simple solids- always a great option for easy cute outfits.
When we were thrift store shopping a couple of weeks ago, my mom found me this amazing herringbone blazer for $3. A total score, especially since it looks new. For some reason, this blazer reminded me of the thrift store find and made me want to wear it again very soon.
Mixing Prints- via
Mixing prints can sometimes be a little tricky, but if you focus on simple backgrounds and color combinations, it can be quirky and cute.
Oversized Cardigans- via
Men’s knit cardigans are my new favorite kind of sweater.
Casual + Sparkly- via
Perfect for Christmas parties.
